My name is Charvi Seeta, and I’m a Sophomore at William Mason High School. (https://www.masonohioschools.com/)
Post COVID-19, there has been a 700% increase in neuro-divergent children, posing issues for educators. In addition, 140 students at Mason Elementary (ME) need frequent or intensive support to help cope and emotionally regulate. Classrooms at ME have limited access to sensory resources and materials. According to ME school counselors, those 140 students are enrolled in programs that would benefit from these resources. They would be able to help students with sensory issues needing to calm down or refocus their attention, as well as enhance brain function and academic performance. In addition, they would teach students how to emotionally regulate. Because of this, I have decided to have my Girl Scout Gold Award be to create toolboxes for 3rd graders at ME, which can help students in the classroom.
Below I have linked a fundraising page, and I would appreciate it if you could donate money to help fund this project, as well as share this with others.
Thank you so much for your support!
